John L. Price, age 80, dies here Tuesday; funeral set Thursday

John L. Price, age 80, died Tuesday in the Oneida County Hospital of a cardiac arrest.

Mr. Price was born Feb. 2, 1896 in Malad, a son of Samuel Willard and Matilda Gleed Price.

He married Anella Jones May 30, 1917 in St. John.

Mr. Price received his education in the Malad schools, and was a member of the LDS Church. A farmer and salesman for Ren’s Chevrolet, he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include his widow of Malad: two sons, John L. Price, Jr., Seattle, Wash., Kleal[sic] J. Price, Malad; one daughter, Mrs. Wallace (Chloe) Coffman, Concord, Ca[California]; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, S. Willard Price, Youngstown, Ohio; sisters: Mrs. D. O. (Annie) Daniels, Malad, Mrs. Mary Peterson, Logan, Mrs. Leonard (Fawn) Bealer, North Bend, Oregon.

Funeral At Noon Friday

Funeral service will be Friday at noon in the Malad Third LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Phil Gillies officiating.

Friends may call Benson Funeral Home Thursday evening and Friday before service.

Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were by the Benson Funeral Home.
