John L. O’Keefe

John L. O’Keefe, 63, of Pocatello, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2001, at a local care facility.
He was born the only son of Leo and Thella Moon (Jones) O’Keefe in Malad, Idaho, on February 28, 2938. He attended Malad High School. On June 21, 1955, he married his high school sweetheart, Beula Brillhart.
John and Beula were co-owners at the Blossom Shop in Malad. He worked for Morton-Thiokol for 30 years and retired in 1989. He then worked at School District #25, and retired in 1998, due to health concerns.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making knives, and being in the outdoors.
John is survived by his wife, Beula O’Keefe, Pocatello; daughters, Sheena McCoy and Joni O’Keefe, both of Pocatello; grandchildren: Jennifer Roderick, Phoenix, Arizona; John Henry (Candace) Roderick, Jiggs, Nevada; Bridgett Leavitt, Pocatello; Amber Reeder, Malad; Robbie McCoy, Pocatello; brothers-in-law, Blaine (Betty) Brillhart, Phoenix, Arizona; and Bill Feld, Pocatello; sisters-in-law: Betty Burt; Barbara (Royal) Littleford; Bernadine (Lyle) Kissel, all of Pocatello.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at the Mountainview Cemetery.
