Funeral set Saturday for John G. Palmer, age 80

Funeral services are set here Saturday at 11 a.m. in Benson Funeral Home for John G. Palmer, age 80, who died Monday [Sept. 3, 1982] of natural causes in a Sacramento hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday in Sacramento. Burial at Malad City Cemetery will be directed by Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Palmer was born Dec. 30, 1891, at Malad, a son of Joseph and Maria Gardner Palmer. He married Flora Grimes in Sacramento. He was a member of the LDS Church and of the Rotary Club. Surviving are his widow, Sacramento; four daughters, Mrs. Peggy Holt, Sacramento; Mrs. Edna Midgley[sic], Santa Maria, Calif.[California]; Mrs. Merle Laughran[sic], San Jose, Calif.[California]; Mrs. Velma Felson[sic], Helena, Mont.[Montana]; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Palmer, Malad.
