JOHN E. “ANDY” REDFORD DIES AT PORTLAND AFTER HEART SURGERY

Funeral service is being held today (Thursday) at Caldwell for John E. “Andy” Redford, age 58, who died Sunday morning [1960] at a Portland, Oregon hospital following heart surgery.

Mr. Redford taught at the Malad school a number of years ago. He was a director in the Farm Security Agency for several years and, at the time of his death, was operating a store at Caldwell in partnership with two other men.

He is survived by his wife, the former Viola Palmer; a son, Mack, stationed with the U. S. Army at St. Louis, Mo. and a daughter, Mrs. John (Joan) Lowe, Albuquerque, New Mexico; one grandchild.

Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Petty, Swan Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Jenkin Palmer, Tommy and Stanley. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Griffiths and Linda and Karen Pearl, who are visiting here from Great Neck, N. Y., attended the service.
