SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR JOHN D. THOMAS

Funeral services for John D. Thomas, 29, World War Ii veteran who died at Reno, Nevada on April 9, 1953 were conducted Monday at the Second Ward Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Ernest W. Jones post of the American Legion.

Mr. Thomas was born at Malad, Nov. 1, 1924, a son of John D. and Edith Thomas. During World War II he served with the Combat Medical Corps and the 38th Engineer Regiment. He was overseas for 19 months, participating in the Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland campaign. Mr. Thomas had been making his home in California after being discharged from the military service.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Edith Thomas, Oakland, CA; two sisters, Mrs. jack K. (Grace) White, Oakland, CA; Mrs. George (Beth) Dwaney, San Francisco, CA; one brother, Khalil R. Thomas, Pocatello.

Interment was in the Malad City Cemetery.
