Jesse Lee Hobson

Malad…..Jesse Lee Hobson, 56, longtime resident of Malad, Idaho, passed away at his home Saturday, January 22, 2011 from an extended illness. He was born and raised in Malad, Idaho to Derril and Cleone (Clegg) Hobson. During his childhood he worked at his father’s gas station and on various area farms. He was always looking for a way to make a dollar, three – eighty – nine.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and could be found frequently on one of the local reservoirs fishing with his Dad or friends. Lee was never blessed with any children of his own but any kid he was ever around loved him immediately. His many nieces, nephews, and step-children and grandchildren of friends loved spending time with him.

He was blessed with many dear friends who gathered frequently in the yard or around the kitchen counter.

At the time of his death he was married to Linda Rae Bruce and had retired from ATK (Thiokol), where he had worked for 28 years.

Lee is survived by his wife, Linda; mother, Cleone; two brothers, John Robert (Judy), and Dale Myron Hobson, all of Malad; four sisters, Debra (Henry) Egbert, Bonita McDowell both of Preston, Sharon (Laurel) Thomas of Idaho Falls, Michelle (John) Berry of Kingman, Arizona.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Malad City Cemetery. A luncheon will follow provided by the 3rd Ward Relief Society. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Horsley Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.horsleyfuneralhome.com
