Jesse Kyle Hughes

HUGHES, JESSE KYLE, March 6, 1937 – December 18, 2006

Jesse Kyle Hughes, 69, of Centerville, UT passed away on Monday, December 18, 2006 at the South Davis Community Hospital of Alzheimer’s disease. He was born March 6, 1937 in Malad, Idaho, a son of Jess and Rachel Evans Hughes. He graduated from Malad High School in 1955.

Jesse enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 20, 1955 and served in Germany for three years. He returned in 1958. Jesse married Marie John on July 31, 1959 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He worked at Thiokol for nine years and Young Electric Sign for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for 27 years and retired at the age of 60.

Jesse loved spending time at his cabin in Island Park and with his grandchildren.

He enjoyed going to St. George in the winter to visit his in-laws. He loved his family and was a good father and grandfather. He was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Marie; three sons, John Kyle (Denyse) Farmington, Zan Vaughan (Jolynn) North Salt Lake, Michael Troy (Jenny), West Jordan; one daughter, Michell Hunsaker of Centerville; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Trevor Clark (Daisy) and Lloyd Evans; two sisters, Judith (Jim) Gillespe and Ray Dawn (Doug) Boscutt.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service were held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2006 at the Willow Ward, Centerville, Utah. Interment was at the Malad City Cemetery.
