JESSE HARRISON

Jesse Harrison passed away September 18, 2012.

Jesse was a cowboy through and through! He never left the house without his Stetson hat, his boots, and a huge belt buckle. All color coordinated, of course. Jesse was a real sharp dresser.

He was born March 17, 1944 in Malad, ID, right after his twin brother, Joel, was born. His mother, Margaret Harrison, lived in Malad with his older brother, Alan. They all shared a small log cabin with Margaret’s extended family, Mabel, Mary, Robert, and all of the boys (including Rebel the dog) made a lot of great memories there.

Jesse had a big heart. He would do anything he could for the people in his life. We all knew how much he loved us and how proud of us he was because he told us often. Although he had many challenges in his life, he never lost that huge heart. He was a mentor and friend to many people with whom he shared the same challenges. He was also a fantastic story teller. He had a very colorful way of telling you quite a tale.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sally, his family: Ric, Nikki, Regan, Kelsie (Flack), Jan, Kelly (Donovan), Karen Harrison and family, and his brother, Alan Harrison and family. He loved Sally more than anything in the world. Of course, we can’t forget Bella, their cat, as the most recent member of the family too.

Anyone who knew Jesse knew how he felt about funerals, so a gathering of his family and friends will take place on September 18 at the Fellowship Hall. We’ll miss you a lot, Dad. We’ll never forget you.
