Jeddiah (Jedd) Grant Owens, age 50, died Wednesday, Mar. 24th at Pocatello of a heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home, Malad, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Friends may also call at Manning Funeral Home, Pocatello, Friday evening. Burial will be in Malad City Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65.
Mr. Owens was born at Malad, June 16, 1920 a son of Richard E. and Helen Sarah Little Owens. He married Anita Tolmie at Pocatello in 1944 and they were later divorced. A graduate of Malad High School and Idaho State University at Pocatello, he received his degree in law from University of Utah, Salt Lake City. Mr. Owens practiced law in Malad, Pocatello and Boise, Idaho, and Billings, Mont. He served as Idaho assistant attorney general under Frank Benson and was Oneida County attorney. Mr. Owens was a member of the LDS Church, Elks and Eagles Lodges and the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65. He served as a captain in the US Air Force during World War 11.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Cindy) DiSalvo, Venice, Calif.; Sally Owens, Los Altos Hills, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Thomas, Pocatello, and Mrs. Reed (Isabel) Nielsen, Portage Utah.
