Jack Ezell

EZELL, JACK – April 26, 1932 – March 15, 1990

MORGAN – Jack Ezell, 57, died March 15, 1990 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden of a heart attack. He was born April 26, 1932 in West Frankfort, IL, a son of Vernon Paul and Gladys Miller Ezell.

He married Lola Jane Bennett on August 9, 1952 in Porterville, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 2, 1965.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-54 and received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

He had been employed by Ideal Cement, Del Monte, Hill Air Force Base, and ran and owned a custom slaughtering business and a farm.

Surviving are his wife of Porterville, two sons and six daughters, Linda Ezell Cool, Morgan; Vernon Jack Ezell, Laughlin, NV; Shelly Ezell Paskett, Coalville; Shirlene Ezell McQuiddy, Morgan; Anita Ezell Crouch, Ogden; Lorin Jay Ezell, Bullhead City, AZ; Lisa Ezell Long, Ogden; Dana Ezell Pentz; Porterville; and 11 grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters, Jeanie Mayer, Monterey Park, CA; Vernon Paul Ezell, Jr., Rollins, WY; Joanne Gonzales, San Jose, CA; Gary Lee Ezell, Henefer; Elaine Ezell, Sandy Kay Ezell, Dennis Ray Ezell, all of Merced, CA.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday in the Morgan 5th/6th Ward Chapel in Porterville, Interment will be in the South Morgan Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion of Morgan.
