Emrys S. Ezell

EZELL, EMRYS S., June 10, 1903 – February 14, 1989

Emrys S. Ezell, 85, died February 14, 1989 in the Oneida County nursing home. He was born June 10, 1903 in Malad, to Hart and Martha Jones Ezell. He was raised and educated in Malad.

As a young man, he moved to California. He worked many years as a plumber and pipe fitter in the Van Nuys, California area. He returned to Malad in 1970.

On May 11, 1973, he married Hazel Hall in Elko, Nevada.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was associated with the San Fernando Valley Sportsmen’s Club, the Valley Round Robin Trap Shooting Assn. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his wife of Malad; one stepson, Dalton Hall, Pocatello; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leland (Janice) Carlson, Ogden, UT; seven step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren; one brother, Ferris Ezell; two sisters, Mrs. Chester (Martha) Wilhite and Mrs. Ruth Deitrich, all of Sacramento.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services were held on Friday in the Benson Horsley Funeral Home in Malad. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
