Ike Peabody Died Saturday

Isaac Peabody, 61, died Saturday [November 21, 1942] afternoon at 3:30 at the Oneida County hospital, following an appendicitis operation.

He was born at Malad, August 15, 1880, the son of Francis Clark and Simion[sic] Peabody. On December 31, 1903 he was married to Alice K. Evans. He has engaged in farming most of his life. He was a member of the L.D.S. church.

Mr. Peabody was the father of ten children, seven of whom survive. They are: Daniel Peabody, who is in the U. S. army stationed at Lajuenta[sic], Colo., Wm. Peabody, Pocatello, Lester Peabody, Sandy, Utah, Mrs. Frances Campbell, Couer d’Alene, Idaho; Ann and Arnold Peabody, Malad. He is also survived by his wife, and the following brothers and sister:

Adam Peabody, Grashan[sic], Oregon, Jack Peabody, Bremerton, Wash., Mrs. Reese Thomas, Nampa; Mrs. Fannie Gillmore[sic], Portland.

Funeral services were held at 12:30 p. m. at the first ward tabernacle with Bishop Junius[sic] Crowther presiding. Musical numbers were furnished by the St. John quartet, violin solo, Mrs. Helen Cssman[sic] accompanied by Mrs. Cleopha[sic] Probst[sic]; vocal solo, Thomas Jenkin Jones; speakers were; W. H. Rutter[sic], Joe Isaacson, Thos. W. Richards, and Bishop Crowther, prayers, Wm. . Jones and F*.
