North Ogden. Iris Elizabeth Stone Miller, 77, died on Friday, July 8, 1994 at the McKay Dee Hospital Center following an extended illness.

She was born on May 20, 1917 in Downey, Idaho, a daughter of C. Seth and Sylvia Jensen Stone.

On August 29, 1937 she married Gilbert R. Miller in Ogden. He died on August 31, 1986.

She graduated from Weber High School in 1935.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended the North Ogden 7th Ward. She was a visiting teacher, long time Primary worker, Relief Society teacher and ward librarian.

She loved to work in ceramics and enjoyed reading. She had a very special affection for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Linda Miller, Idaho Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Stone, Ogden; Mrs. Gene (Ruth) Minardi, Roy; Mrs. Gene (Alice) Mallory, North Ogden.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Martin Miller, one brother, one sister, and her parents.

Services will be held on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. in the North Ogden 7th Ward, 400 Elberta Drive. The family will meet friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd. and on Tuesday at the ward from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
