Huck passed away in 1990, and in 1996, Inez sold her home and moved to Preston to be closer to her daughter.

While in Preston, she served on the board of the Franklin County Senior Citizens, and she enjoyed many hours quilting with the Pink Ladies. She was an active member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers and a member of the Sacagawea Camp.
