Brigham City – Funeral services for Howell Henry (Harry) Mifflin, 81, Brigham City, who died Nov. 5, 1949 at his residence, 836 S. Third West St. of causes incident to age, will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Fifth Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by Bishop Oleen Palmer.

Friends may call at the family home Sunday and Monday prior to services. Burial will be in Malad, Idaho cemetery.

Mr. Mifflin was born Feb. 7, 1868 at Malad, Idaho, a son of Howell H. and Celia Morgan Mifflin. He was reared and educated in Malad.

He was married to Lucretia Williams Oct. 16, 1892 in Logan. She died in 1912. On Oct. 20, 1914, he was married to Alice Johnson in Salt Lake City.

At the time of his death he was a high priest in the Fifth Ward. He had served as superintendent of Sunday school and in the Young Men’s Mutual Improvement Assoc. in a Malad ward. In the Brigham City Fifth Ward he served as ward teaching supervisor and in the ward and South Box Elder Stake choirs. At one time he sang in the Salt lake Tabernacle Choir.

Survivors, besides his widow, include two sons and three daughters; Benjamin Mifflin, San Francisco, and Howell Mifflin, Roy, Utah; Mrs. Ada Standing and Mrs. Martha Murray, Ogden, and Mrs. Agnes Earl, Tremonton; one brother and one sister, Edward Mifflin and Mrs. Millie Adams, Salt Lake City, 36 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
