Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at the Malad Reorganized LDS Church for Henry Nieffenegger, 81, who died Monday at his home after a long illness.
Officiating is Elder Gene Chaney of Pocatello. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery under direction of the Benson Funeral Home.
Mr. Nieffenegger was born July 31, 1875 at Elkhorn, Oneida County, the son of Gottleib and Esther Clifford Nieffenegger. He married Mabel Clark Jan. 17, 1906 at Elkhorn.
Mr. Nieffenegger was a retired rancher and sheep man at the time of his death. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, three sons; Lavere, Malad; Elmer, Arimo; Niel, Clearfield, Utah; three daughters, Mrs. Wilson Ritchie, Colton, Calif.; Mrs. Fern Winegar and Mrs. Don Bailey, both of San Bernadino, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, a brother, Joseph and a sister, Mrs. Mary Boyer, both of Hagerman.
