Henry Milo Stayner, (1921)

STAYNER, HENRY MILO, December 31, 1921 – November 14, 2006

Henry Milo Stayner, 84, lifelong resident of Malad, Idaho, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at his home. He was born December 31, 1921 in Malad, a son of Henry Turner and Sarah Jones Stayner.

He was raised and educated in Malad. He married Dorothy Williams on December 21, 1945 in Preston, Idaho. Milo farmed in the Malad area. He also worked road construction and was the sexton for the Malad cemetery for many years. Milo was an elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He loved to fish and hunt. Most of all, he loved his family. Milo will be missed by all who knew and loved him for he was truly a compassionate and giving man.

Milo is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Malad; son, Michael (Ann) Stayner of Pocatello; two grandsons, Collin and Case Stayner of Pocatello; five sisters, Gloria Johnson, Sarah Western, Venice Strong, Jenny Lesser, Pleasant Grove, Utah; Naomi Gibbs, Fresno, CA; and one brother, Lynn Stayner of Malad, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Hyde.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 18 in the Horsley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
