Graveside rites at Samaria for Henry John Richards, 81

Graveside rites were conducted at Samaria Monday for Henry John Richards, age 81, who died June 19, [1970] at an Ogden hospital of natural causes.

First Counselor M. Joe Davis of the Samaria Bishopric conducted the services at Samaria. John Roderick was the speaker and Bud Williams offered the dedicatory prayer. Funeral services were held earlier in the day at an Ogden mortuary.

Mr. Richards was born Oct. 15, 1888 at Samaria, a son of Edmund T. and Ann John Richards. He married Elisa Julia Peterson, July 11, 1925, at Paris, Idaho. She died in July of 1935. A member of the LDS Church, he was a retired Hill Air Force Base employee.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Walter H., L. E., Clearfield; Mrs. Reva Fields, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Nancy Scott, Mo.; three step-sons, James Padget, Payette; Nathan Padget, Tacoma, Wash.; Dow* Padget, Salinas, Calif.; 70 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Thomas Modesto, California.
