Ogden – Harvey Willis Ashton, 93, died on Wednesday, October 13, 1993 at his residence of complications following a stroke.

He was born on June 9, 1900 in Woodruff, Idaho a son of Hyrum and Emma John Ashton.
On March 22, 1944 he married Isabell Roderick in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He had been a famer, cattelman and salesman having been named top salesman in Utah.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Jefferson Center Ward.
As a member of the Ogden Fifth Ward he had served as cub scout leader, High Priest group
leader, counselor in the High Priest quorum, home teacher and numerous other positions over the years.

He had lived in Woodruff, Idaho, Logan and Ogden, Utah.

Surviving are his wife, Isabell Roderick Ashton, Ogden, one son and three daughters, Robert and wife Bonnie Ashton, Fresno, California; Mrs. Richard (Shelba) Rich, Roy; Mrs Bill (Mary) Settle-mire, Ogden; Rosalie Ashton, Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, H. Boyd Ashton; his parents, Hyrum and Emma Ashton; five sisters and eight brothers.

He was loving and dedicated husband and father. He was loved by his family and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Rentmaster officiating. Friends may call at the moruary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. To 10:45 a.m.

Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park.
