Hannah Rowald passed away at her home in New Braunfels, Texas, Friday, April 15 at the age of 70. She was born April 14, 1924 at Malad, Idaho, one of 13 children to Mr. and Mrs. David Hill.

She was retired and has since been active in volunteer work. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Eagles Auxilliary, Hermann Sons, American Legion Auxilliary and had been a Red Cross Volunteer at McKenna Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Werner Rowald of New Braunfels; a son, Douglas and wife Carol of Belton; a daughter, Barbara McNutt and husband Joe of Bastrop; daughter-in-law, Sandra Rowald of Austin; one granddaughter, Jennifer Rowald of Austin; one grandson, William McNutt and wife Shannon of San Antonio; one great-granddaughter, Sandra McNutt of San Antonio.

She is also survived by the following sisters: Rose Jones of Malad; Monta Cranor, Pocatello; Carol Minor and husband Don, Salt Lake City; Norene Crist and husband George, Poactello; Kay Call and Ruth Lodgdson, Salt Lake City; Jenean Rainsdon and husband Darwin, Firth; and brothers; Dave Hill and wife Larue, California; Clain Hill and wife Ruth, Fairbanks Alaska; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents, sisters Charity Hill and Elda Smith and a brother Nephi Hill.

Services were held Monday, April 18 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial followed at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Sisters attend funeral services in Texas

Rose Jones of Malad attended funeral services for her sister, Hannah Rowald of New Braunfels, Texas on April 18. She and three of her sisters, Monta Cranor, Jenean Rainsdon and Kay Call, flew to Texas for the services.
