Funeral Today for Mrs. Atkinson

Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Waldron Atkinson, 79 died suddenly at her home Monday of a heart ailment. Died 18 July 1955.

Mrs. Atkinson was born November 8, 1875 at Samaria, daughter of Levi S. and Davina E. Roderick Waldron. She was educated in the Samaria school and lived at Gwenford with her parents while a young girl. She was married to Alfred Henry Atkinson, February 18, 1896 at Gwenford. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on October 12, 1921. A lifetime member of the LDS Church, Mrs. Atkinson was a Relief Society teacher in the Samaria ward for several years.

Surviving are six sons and five daughters: Alfred L., Andrew D., David R., Lester W., William S. Atkinson, all of Samaria; Elmer W. Atkinson of Redondo Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Davinah (Thomas A.) Evans, Mrs. Zelma (Vernon) Jones and Mrs. Hannah (Bud) Davis all of Malad; Mrs. Margaret Ann (Calvin) Yearsley of Downey; Mrs. Pearl (Jack) Bradshaw of Blackfoot; 51 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren; also five brothers: L. G. Waldron, William S. Waldron, Ernest Waldron, Nathaniel Waldron, Charles Waldron, L. R. Waldron, all of Samaria and Benjamin Waldron of Downey.

Funeral services are being held Thursday, July 21, 1955 at 2 p.m. in the Samaria ward chapel with Counselor Llewellyn Williams officiating.

Interment will be in the Samaria Cemetery with the Benson Funeral Home in charge.
