HANNA J. REES
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and friend Hanna J. Rees, long time resident of Hunter, Utah, passed away on October 16, 2000.

Hanna was born in Malad, Idaho, on February 25, 1912, to Leonard Jones and Clara James Jones. Hanna was the oldest of three girls. At an early age she was taught the value of hard work.

Hanna married M. M. Rees on September 16, 1933, in Malad, Idaho. They moved to Garfield, Utah, and then to Hunter, Utah, where they were married for 64 years before his death in 1997.

Hanna will always be remembered for her cooking and baking talents. She loved to fix meals for her family and friends. Hanna also had a great ability for knitting and crocheting. All of her children and grandchildren have been the recipients of many afghans and handmade items.

Hanna was a member of the LDS Church and a member of the Lady Lion’s Club in Hunter for many years. She made many friends during the years she worked for Auerbachs and ZCMI.

She was truly loved and will be missed by her children. She is survived by her daughter, Lou Gene (Blaine) Grant; sons, Don (Carol) Rees and Leonard Rees. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Stock of Brigham City; sister-in-law, Gloria Gleed of Malad; and brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Theone Rees of West Valley City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her sister, Fern.

The family wishes to express its appreciation for the loving care she received at the Crossland Care Center for the past two and one half years.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 20, 2000, at the Valley View Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in the Valley View Memorial Park.
