Gottlieb B. Schwartz dies at Rigby

Gottlieb B. Schwartz, age 84, died Tuesday afternoon, June 10, in a Rigby, Idaho nursing home of natural causes.

Mr. Schwartz was born July 13, 1884 at Helterfinger, Bern, Switzerland, a son of Gottlieb and Rosina Bieri Schwartz. Educated in Switzerland, he came to the United States and was married to Freda Feller, Sept. 8, 1909, in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Schwartz died Nov. 20, 1964. He was an active member of the LDS Church.

Mr. Schwartz was a farmer most of his adult life.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters: Walter Schwartz, Dillon, Montana; Darrel G. Schwartz, Malad; Mrs. Nephi Bud (Elma) John, Malad; Mrs. Stirl (Sylvia) Hess, Ogden; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; step-mother, Mrs. Anna Schwartz Moser, Logan; five brothers and three sisters: John Schwartz, Dayton, Utah; William Schwartz, Malad; Gottfried Schwartz, Ephriam Schwartz, Logan; Benjamin Schwartz, Hyrum, Ut.; Mrs. Margaret Hansen, Monticello, Utah; Mrs. Ross Beutler and Mrs. Martha Harwood, both Logan.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday, in the Malad LDS Fourth Ward Chapel with Bishop Earl Gillies officiating. Friends may call at the Benson Funeral Home Thursday evening and Friday prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery directed by Benson Funeral Home.
