GLEN W. MORGAN

Glen W. Morgan, 83, died Monday, October 5, 1992 at his home as the result of colon cancer.

He was born October 12, 1908 in Farragut, Iowa, a son of G.W. and Marie L. Weaver Morgan. His family moved to Nebraska, cultural center of the universe, in 1914. He attended Washington County Dist. #12 grade school and graduated from Blair High School in 1926. He attended Iowa State University for three years. He worked as an undergraduate engineer for Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh, Penn. He traveled through and across nearly every state west of the Mississippi with the US Coast and Geodetic Survey. He married Margaret Noble in 1937 in Salt Lake City. He received a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in 1939. He was a registered professional engineer with the State of Utah.
He spent the war years with the Midwest Piping and Supply Co. in St. Louis; in construction of Geneva Steele and at the University of California, Radiation Laboratory, Berkeley. He worked a number of years for Kennecott Copper at all their properties in Utah, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. He retired from the Utah Department of Transportation in 1973. He devoted his retirement years to massing a fortune of four dollars and thirteen cents. (Written by the deceased shortly before his death.)

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Noble Morgan; and son, Don Morgan, both of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Morgan; mother, Marie Weaver Morgan; two sisters and one brother.

The Morgan family would like to thank the Community Nursing Service Hospice Program, and especially thank Helen Cookson and Helen Roy.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside Saturday, 12 noon at St. John Cemetery in Malad, Idaho. There will be no public viewing.
