GLADYS GIBSON THOMAS

OGDEN – Gladys Elvera Boyce Gibson Thomas, 83, died Tuesday, October 24, 2000 at a local care center.

She was born April 19, 1917 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a daughter of John Harold and Julia B. Johnson Boyce.

On December 12, 1938, Gladys married Sam C. Gibson. They were later divorced. She married Guy Thomas, Jr. on May 13, 1973. Guy died in November of 1974.

She was a member of the LDS church.

Gladys worked as a custodian at the Eccles Building, First Security Bank, and the Ogden Temple.

She enjoyed watching Jazz games, drawing, and gardening.

Surviving are one son, Gary Ray (Nina) Gibson, St. George; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Gladys is also survived by one brother and four sisters, John William (Rhea) Boyce, Ogden; Evelyn May Boyce Bergeron, Iowa; Maxine Elaine (Jack) Young, Ogden; Blanche Luella Boyce (Donald K.) Lundberg, Spokane, Washington; Althea Florine Boyce (Jerry) Ranson, Layton.

She was preceded in death by one son, Harold Gene Gibson, one daughter, Juline Victoria Gibson, and two sisters, Vivian Morrison and Lillian Bleichert.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Malad, Idaho City Cemetery.
