Georgina Smith Hess White

Garland – Georgina Smith Hess White, 83, died Fired, July 2, 1993 at the Bear River Valley Hospital of causes incident to age.

She was born April 15, 1910 in Grace, Idaho, a daughter of Joseph and Edith Clark Smith.

She married Merle Hess, November 12, 1928 in Plymouth; the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, November 11, 1966. He died October 31, 1968. She married Ray White, January 10, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mrs. White was reared and educated in Plymouth and has lived in Ogden and Garland.

She worked at Utah Tailoring Mills and on the farm. She was also a caregiver for elderly people.

She was a member of the Garland 2nd LDS Ward where she had served in the Primary, YWMIA and Relief Society organization.

She is survived by her husband of Garland; three daughters, one daughter-in-law and their spouses; Bernice McNeil, Ogden; Mrs. Charley R. (Merle) Marble and Mrs. Barney (Gaylene) Goodrich all of Malad; Mrs. Darla Hess, Garland; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; one step-daughter, Karla and Phil, Dellner, California; two sisters; Camilla Lothrup, Salt Lake City Sylvia Archibald, San Diego, California.

She was preceded in death by one son, Deloy Hess; four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 7, 1993 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garland
L.D.S. Ward Chapel, 140 W Factory St., with Bishop James K. Riley officiating. Friends may call at Rogers Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 1st E. Tremonton, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the Plymouth Cemetery.
