BRIGHAM MAN DIED HERE LAST FRIDAY NIGHT

Funeral Services At The Third Ward Today

George Richardson, 71, of 133 North Main, died at the family residence Friday [1939] at nine p. m. following a three years illness.

He was born November 19, 1867 in Plain City, a son of Josiah and Sarah Knight Richardson. He was married November 11, 1886, in the Logan L. D. S. temple to Eva Evelyn Stuart.

When 12 years of age, the family moved to Malad, Idaho, where he met his wife. After their marriage they moved to Idaho Falls, where he engaged in farming for four years. They returned to Malad, and about 20 years ago he retired and they moved to Brigham City. He was a high priest in the Brigham City Third ward.

Surviving are four children: Edgar J. Richardson, and George S. Richardson, both of Tooele; Cameron L. Richardson of San Jose[,] Calif., and adopted daughter, Loriane Richardson, Brigham City; five brothers: Jedd Richardson, Brigham City; Howard Richardson, Ogden; Ed Richardson, Shelley, Idaho; Oscar Richardson, Malad; Sylvester Richardson, Belmont, Ariz.; three sisters: Mrs. John W. Price, Malad; Mrs. Art Stowell and Mrs. Dale Jones, both of Brigham City; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 12:30 p.m. in the Third ward chapel by Bishop W. H. Stayner. Interment will be in the city cemetery. Friends may call at the family home Tuesday until time of the services.
