MALAD PIONEER DIED MONDAY

Funeral services are being held at the Third Ward this afternoon for George McKay, 82, pioneer of Malad Valley, who died Monday (No Death Date) at his daughter’s home in Malad of a heart attack.

Mr. McKay was born on the Atlantic Ocean, May 29, 1860, and came to Malad when a boy. He was married to Annie Jenkins December 23, 1885, at the Logan LDS Temple, and had been engaged in farming until a few years ago. He was one of the pioneers of Malad Valley and was a High Priest in the LDS Church.

Mr. McKay is survived by two children: Mrs. T.F. Budge of Malad and Mrs. Gene Dalton of McCammon and the following sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Gleed of Malad; Mrs. Jane Evans of California and Mrs. Mattie Jensen McPharland of Ogden, Utah.
