Max was active in the LDS Church serving as Scoutmaster many times. He also served as a counselor and Bishop of the Malad Second Ward. He was very proud of his Silver Beaver award and recently was presented with the Life Time of Merit in Scouting Award. He truly enjoyed being a home teacher.
