George D. Waldron, (1919)

WALDRON, GEORGE D., March 11, 1919 – May 11, 2006

Our beloved father and grandfather, George D. Waldron, 87, passed away May 11, 2006 in a local hospital of natural causes.

George was born March 11, 1919 in Pleasantview, ID, to Benjamin Hanes Waldron and Mervel Ann Gill. He married Delta Gibbs Howell May 31, 1941 in Salt Lake and later they were sealed in the Logan Temple. Delta passed away June 6, 2002.

He was a disabled veteran of WWII and served as a side gunner on a B-17 for the Army Air Corps. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served faithfully throughout his life. He worked for McDonald Douglas Corp. until he retired. He and Delta also owned their own tax firm.

He is survived by his two sons: Gary, Bountiful, UT; Ken, Rexburg, ID; and a daughter, Kathryn Huseboe, CA; and a sister, Wanda Prisby, Layton, UT; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, may 17, 2006 at noon at the Portage LDS Chapel. Arrangements are by Horsley Funeral Home of Malad.
