Fredrick Anderson dies Saturday

Fredrick R. Anderson, 45, Manila, Utah, a former Malad resident, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1980, at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden after a short illness.

He was born April 23, 1935, at Malad to Clarence A. and Carrie D. Richards Anderson.

He was educated in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School. Mr. Anderson served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict and was a member of the American Legion. He was a graduate of Weber State College in Ogden where he received a degree in business management. He later attended the University of Idaho where he received his teaching certificate.

He married Bonnie M. Parten Oct. 5, 1974, at Elko, Nev., and during the last three years he taught at the Meadows Valley High School at New Meadows. He was a member of the Idaho Education Association and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Manila, Utah; his parents, Malad; one brother and one sister, Clarence R. Anderson, Pocatello, and Mrs. Martin (Sally) R. Moore, Roy, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 27 in the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad.

Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65.
