Former Malad Man Killed In Accident

Relatives here received word last Wednesday July 25, of the accidental death that day at San Lou Obispo, Calif., of Fred A. Richards. It is reported that he was repairing an elevator at an ice plant and something undetermined went wrong and he was crushed to death by the elevator.

Fred A. Richards was born at Malad December 24, 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Richards. He has made his home in Los Angeles, Calif., for the past 22 years. He was a carpenter. Twenty-one years ago he married Wilma McNeil of Dansville, Ill., at Los Angeles.
Besides his widow, and his mother, the following sisters and brother survive: Florence Clark, Los Angeles; Mary Anderson, Pocatello; Carrie Anderson, Bancroft and Ben Richards Malad.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Mission Mortuary in Los Angeles and interment was in the Inglewood cemetery.

Those from Malad in attendance were: Mesdames Fred Richards sr., Carry Anderson, Ezra Hoskins, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Anderson and Ben Richards.
