Funeral services for Frank Henry Opperman, 60, were held Tuesday at the Third Ward LDS chapel.
Hubert Gleed officiated and gave remarks; Royal Swenson offered prayer at the home; James B. Jones, invocation; Dave Hughes, benediction. Guy Benson dedicated the grave and Mrs. Melvin Atkinson played the prelude and postlude and accompanied the musical numbers which consisted of duet, Pierce and Cecil Sorenson; duet, Wanda Napier and Mrs. T.A. John; solo, Eldon Corbridge; violin solo, fern Willie. The speakers were Wm. H. Rutter and Thos D. Evans.
Mr. Operman died at his home Saturday June 30 after a prolonged illness. A son of August and Deborah Trumblee Opperman, both deceased, he was born Nov. 7, 1890 at Strawberry Pt., Iowa. He came to Malad in 1908 and on October 2, 1912 he was married to Jemima Stuart.
He is the father of five children, three of whom survive: namely, Lewis Opperman, Mrs. Orlene Monson, Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Viola Williams, Ogden. Besides his widow and children he is survived by five grandchildren.
