Fern Jones Vanover, 9 April 1911

Fern Jones Vanover, 85, of Malad, passed away July 20,1996 in the Oneida County Nursing Home. She was born April 9, 1911 in Malad, a daughter of Daniel T. and Mary Jane Thomas Jones. She grew up and was educated in Malad and married Nevel Frank Vanover in January of 1930. Mr. Vanover passed away in 1957. They had lived in several areas, returning to Malad in 1945, where she had since resided.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For many years she was a volunteer Pink Lady for the Oneida County Hospital.

She is survived by two sons; Nevel Frank and wife Rhea Vanover of Ridgecrest, CA; Donald and wife Marg Vanover of Idaho Falls; three daughters, Mary Jane and husband Thayne Waldron of Brookings, OR; Connie Eager of Boise, ID; Danna and husband Gene Bybee of Morgan, UT. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one brother, Max I. Jones of Gardnerville, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight brothers, six sisters and one grandson.
