Donald George Vanover, 11 October 1938

Donald George Vanover, 63, former Dillon resident and frequent visitor, died February 5, 2002 at the University of Utah Medical Center.

He was born October 11, 1938 in Grass Valley, CA to Nevel Frank Vanover and Fern Jones Vanover. He attended school in Malad, ID.

He married Doris Hayes Nettick in 1957. They had two daughters, Sharon McWilliams and Joyce Vanover. They moved from Ukiah, CA to Dillon in 1963. He worked as a cowboy for his uncle, Lester Jones. In 1967 Don and Doris were divorced.

He married Margaret Ann Boam on January 6, 1968 in Sheridan, MT. he worked as a machinery mechanic at JH Equipment and a millwright at Stoltze land and Lumber. Margi and Don moved to Idaho Falls, ID in 1989 where he was a member of the Rigby Lions Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors of Montana. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Margi Vanover, Idaho Falls, ID; daughters, Sharon (Bob) McWilliams, Dillon; and Joyce Vanover, Dillon; brother, Frank (Rhea) Vanover, Ridgecrest, CA; sisters, Mary jane (Thayne) Waldron, Folsom, CA; Connie Egar, Boise, ID; and Danna Bybee, Morgan, UT; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Kevin and Angela Nettick Morse who he treated like his own children also survive him. His parents preceded him in death.
