FAYE HAWKS MORRIS

PORTAGE/OGDEN – Faye Hawks Morris, 99, passed away November 4, 2011 in Ogden, Utah. She was born September 7, 1912 in Portage, Utah, the second of nine children to Abraham DeRoy and Pearl Halford Hawks. She married Glen Morris on December 10, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was employed by the Box Elder County School lunch program for 17 years. She served an LDS mission to the Eastern States and has served in various leadership positions at the ward and stake levels.

She is survived by her children: Sandra (Robert) Callister; Sheila (Lyman) Thorpe; Karen (Kenneth) Johnson; Sharma (Kipp) Parker; and Glen Craig (Shauna) Morris. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; her sister, Veda Edman and sister-in-law Vera Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held November 9, 2011 at the Portage LDS Chapel, Portage, UT. Interment will follow in the Portage Cemetery.
