EUNICE TOVEY DIES AT CALIFORNIA

Eunice Victoria Ward Tovey, 76, Los Altos, CA, a former Malad resident, died June 19, 1981.

She was born July 18, 1904 to Joseph W. and Elizabeth Christianna Allen Ward at Woodruff.

She grew up and attended school in Woodruff. She married Daniel Lynn Tovey Sept. 2, 1926 in Ogden, UT. He died May 11, 1976.

They lived in Malad and Woodruff and owned a farming operation for many years. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Tovey moved to California and had been living with a daughter.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had been active in community and civic affairs, particularly in music.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Harold G (Norma) Connell, Annendale, VA; Fern Tovey, Malad; and Mrs. Grant (Lois) Bethers, Los Altos, CA; five brothers: Joseph W. Ward, Jr., George e. Ward and Golden C. Ward, all of Malad; J. Moroni Ward, Dublin, Ireland and Rulon Ward, St. George, UT; four sisters: Mary E. Ellis, Honeyville, UT; Lucille Carlson, Orem, UT; Donna Bowen, Beaverton, OR; and May Dell Wharton, Malad; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services were held in the Malad LDS Stake Center with Bishop Garth Sweeten officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
