FUNERAL TUESDAY FOR ETHELL PRICE THOMAS, 87

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Malad Fourth LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Ethel Price Thomas, age 87, who died July 13, 1973 at Oneida Nursing Home of natural causes.

Mrs. Thomas was born May 15, 1886 at Malad, a daughter of Thomas and Jenette Daniels Price. She married L. Espy Thomas April 29, 1908 at Malad and the marriage was solemnized July 27, 1933 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Thomas died Dec. 25, 1968.

Mrs. Thomas was a former school teacher, member of the LDS Church and Oneida Chapter of American War Mothers.

Surviving are four sons, Espy Lyle, Malad; Earl, Ray, both of Pocatello; Jedd, Roseburg, OR; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Thomas Price, Ogden; John Price, Pocatello; Henry Price, Glendale, CA.

Bishop Darrell Swartz officiated and was one of the speakers. Other speakers were LaMar Thomas and Estella Jones, who gave the obituary. Family prayer was offered by Llewellyn Thomas; invocation, William Schwartz; benediction, D. LeRoy Thomas. Connie Budge and Lana Esplin sang a duet and Michael Allphin, a solo. Accompanists were Jolene Allphin and Pearl Stuart, who also played prelude and postlude music.

Gerald Thomas offered the dedicatory prayer at Malad City Cemetery. Flowers were carried by members of the Malad Fourth Ward Relief Society, Kay Dean Williams, president.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
