Day, Ethel B. – 17, Aug. 1921

LAVA HOT SPRINGS- Ethel Barnes Day, 74, of Lava Hot Springs, passed away early Sunday, November 19, 1995, at Pocatello Regional Medical Center. She was born August 17, 1921 in Woodland, Idaho, a daughter of Franklin and Nettie Jensen Barnes. She grew up and was educated in Downey, and was a graduate of Downey High School.

She married Dean Day March 22, 1941 in Topaz, Idaho. They had lived in Topaz, Idaho. They had lived in Topaz, Chesterfield, Bancroft and since 1959 had resided in Lavas Hot Springs. She worked several years for the Chadwich Dry Goods Store in Lava. Mrs. Day was a member of the Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by Dean, of Lava Hot Springs; one son and his wife, David and Christine Day of Lava Hot Springs; three daughters and their husbands, Nadene and Pete Jones of Pocatello, Lagene and Jerry Hobsen of Lava Hot Springs and Cheryl and Ross Thomas of Placentia California; 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, June Guidinger of Rexberg. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Dean.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, at 11 a.m. In the Lava Hot Springs LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Darrell Christensen officiating, Friends may call at the Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo on Tuesday, November, 21, from 7 a.m. To 9 p.m. And on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
