Funeral Services For Eston Jenkins –77, about 1953 J-2 B
Funeral services were held Monday in the Third ward L.D.S. chapel for Eston Jenkins, who died at the family home Thursday morning.
Presiding at the services was Bishop LeGrande Horsley The prelude and postlude were played by Pearl Stuart, and prayers were offered by L.R. Budge and W.H. Rutter. Speakers were: G. A. Stocking, H.I. Mills, James P. Jensen and Bishop Horsley. Musical numbers consisted of a violin solo by Mrs. Lee Ossmen and vocal solos by Thomas Jenkin Jones, Howell Williams, Doirl Horsley and Mollie Warner. Mrs. S. A. Hendricks accompanied the musical numbers.
The grave was dedicated by Guy Benson.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Wales on April 8, 1876, the son of Thomas and Ann Jenkins. He was married to Lovis Lusk, January 29 1891 and was the father of six children, five of whom survive. They are : Mrs. Martha Bennett, Mrs. Annie Lundquist, Mrs. Fay Richards and Lewis Jenkins all of Malad and Huston Jenkins of Sugar City, Idaho. Mr. Jenkins was the grandfather of 26 children and great-grandfather of six. His widow, a brother, Daniel E. Jenkins of Ruth, Nevada and a sister Mrs. Mary Lusk also survive.
