Ernest Savage Waldron, 95, lifetime Samaria resident, died Tuesday, October 24, 1995, in the Oneida County Nursing Home.

He was born May 19, 1900 in Gwenford, one of 13 children to Levi Savage and Devina Elizabeth Roderick Waldron. He grew up in Gwenford and Sameria, and was a lifetime resident there.

He has farmed and ranched, was a well driller and had worked at the Garland Sugar factory.

He married Ann Lucille Beeton September 12, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died December 24, 1937. On March 6, 1940 he married Ivy Hope Parker in Malad; she recently passed away September 26, 1995.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was truly a “good Samaritan,” as he was always rendering service, helping widows and others.

He is survived by four sons and spouses, Lloyd and Orpha Waldron of Pocatello, Lee and Marsha of Glendale, Az., Doyle and Marie Waldron of Malad; three daughters and their spouses, Colleen Waldron of Pocatello, Mrs. Clive (Valois) Orgill of Sandy, Utah, and Mrs. Stephen (Sherrie) Johnson of Malad; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and all 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 27, in the Malad LDS Fifth Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Samaria Cemetery
