WALDRON, EMMA JEAN, January 7, 1929 – October 22, 2008

Emma Jean Waldron, 79, of McMinnville, Oregon passed away October 22, 2008.

Emma was born January 7, 1929 in Tremonton, Utah, the daughter of William Ross and Clara Tippetts Cottam. She grew up in Malad City and Stone, Idaho. She graduated from Malad High School and married Stanley Griffith Waldron on September 23, 1947 in Pocatello, Idaho. They moved to Los Angeles, California for one year so Stanley could attend Diesel Mechanic School. They returned to Malad City for 16 years before making their home in the McMinnville, Oregon area.

Emma enjoyed being a homemaker and was a pilot car driver for transporting manufactured homes. Her hobbies included quilting, home decorating, camping and going to the beach. She was a member of The Church of Latter-day Saints and belonged to the McMinnville Second Ward.

The family said the love of her life was her husband of 62 years, Stanley; and her most precious moments were spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister Zelda Funk, and brothers Jay and Keith Cottam.

She is survived by husband Stanley Waldron of McMinnville; sons: Stanley “Denton” Waldron of Amity, Oregon; Lonnie Waldron of Lincoln City, Oregon; Bart Waldron of McMinnville; Bret Waldron of McMinnville; daughters: Neva Pett of Salem, Oregon; Linda Peterson of Salem, Oregon; Charlene Penton of Amity, Oregon; Jan Lofton of McMinnville; Deanna Tippetts of Bookings, Oregon; Joelynn Murray of Seaside, Oregon; Pamela Wilson of Hillsboro, Oregon; brothers: Lamont Cottom of Malad, Idaho; Delone Cottam of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters: Gwenevere Hatch of Swan Lake, Idaho; 27 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the McMinnville Second Ward on October 27, 2008. Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, McMinnville, Oregon.
