Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Emma Jean Clark Wright, passed away December 27, 2007 at her winter home in Scottsdale, Arizona after a long, courageous battle with her health.

Emma was born Nov. 21, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up in Malad City, Idaho the daughter of John William and Emma Elizabeth Powell Clark. She attended Malad High and later the University of Idaho. Emma married John Fred Wright on October 12, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple and they were sealed to their children. Early years, lived in Provo and settled in Salt lake City in 1954. Emma met lasting friends everywhere selling real estate, church and many social activities.

With Emma’s spunky personality you always knew where you stood.

She is survived by her husband, John Fred Wright; children, Jan Taylor (Gary), Clark Wright (Fei), Jill Butler (Brad), Patricia Larson (Ron), Paula McAllister; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at the Valley View Stake Center, 2245 E. 3900 S. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 East and at the church on Thursday morning from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services.
