Elva Davis Hill, 9 November 1922

A truly remarkable woman passed away on November 8, 22003 in Bountiful, Utah. Born Nov. 9, 1922 in Malad, ID, the daughter of John Stuart and Alice Randall Davis. She married Harvey E. Hill on Feb. 1, 1945 in Denver, CO. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away in 1963.

Throughout the years she showed strength and courage rearing their four children. Her smile, laughter and the twinkle in her eyes will be missed, but we will always remember her with the grace and dignity she portrayed. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elva worked for the Utah State Health Dept., retiring in 1986.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Merrill) VanderMeyden, Centerville, UT; Colleen Hill, Gresham, OR; Carolyn (Fred) Hofferber, Blackfoot, ID; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Delma (Robert) Davis; and brother, Rollin (Margaret) Davis. Her son, Michael, preceded her in death in 1994.

Funeral will be November 12, 2003 at Larkin Sunset Gardens chapel, Sandy, UT. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
