Ellen LaDore Ward Goodsell, 81, passed away Thursday, October 30, 1997. She was the daughter of Owen David and Ellen Parry Ward. She was born in Malad, Idaho, April 17, 1916. She attended Malad City schools and graduated from Utah State University in 1938. She married Lee W. Goodsell June 8, 1940. Their marriage was later solemnized December 10, 1960 in the Manti Temple. He died March 19, 1960.
She taught school in Weston, Idaho, and in Springville, Utah. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include four daughters: Sharon (Roger) Johnson, Kingman, Arizona; Betty (Glenn) Hansen, Barrington, Illinois; Sue (Jim) Eggett, Elk Ridge, Utah; and Janis (Alan) Christensen, Tremonton, Utah; seventeen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Delton Ward, Malad, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Marjorie; two brothers, Charles and Parry; one half-brother, Clifford.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 4, 1997 in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
