Ellen Alice Orf Swartz, 29 August 1920

Ellen Alice Orf Swartz, 81, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on March 25, 2002 in the Oneida County Hospital.

She was born August 29, 1920 in Pueblo, CO, a daughter of Bryan Michael and Ida Madalene Orf. She married Darrel G. Swartz on June 21, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Swartz passed away on October 31, 1997. Her life was full and in her younger years she loved dancing. She was an enthusiastic reader. Ellen had a great talent in quilting and loved doing genealogy for her children and grandchildren. Her great joy came in organizing and having family get togethers and vacations.

She is survived by four sons: Bryan G. (Joan); Anthony David (Marcia); Maurice Vincent (Vicky); Tyler McKay (Katherine); 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren with four more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held March 30, 2002. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
