FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR ELLA LILLY THOMAS, 93

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Benson Funeral Home for Mrs. Ella Elizabeth Lilly Thomas, age 93, who died November 21, 1973 at Oneida Nursing Home.

Mrs. Thomas was born at Virginia City, Nevada, Dec. 30, 1879, a daughter of Thomas and Sarah Williams Lilly. She married David M. Thomas Nov. 27, 1898 at Malad City. He died Aug. 2, 1939. Mrs. Thomas was an active member of the Reorganized LDS Church and directed the choir.

Surviving are a son, Dave M., Garland; Mrs. Earl (Ada) Lusk, Mrs. Enoch (Eliza) Shuda, Malad; Mrs. E.O. (Edith) DeChambeau, Mrs. Jenkin L. (Sara) Palmer, Boise; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

Family prayer was offered by Edward Lilly; invocation, Jon Ward, and benediction, Elder E. R. Chaney. Elder Wendell A. Silvester delivered the sermon and Ada Gibbs read the obituary. Stanley Palmer, accompanied by his wife, sang two solos and Jill Ward played prelude and postlude music.

At Malad City Cemetery, graveside rites were conducted by Elder Silvester and Elder Chaney.

Granddaughters, members of Royal Neighbors and Reorganized Church Ladies carried flowers.

Casket bearers were Melvin R. Thomas, Jr., Tom Palmer, Steven Burns, Don V. Gibbs, Jamie DeChambeau and Dennis Cooper.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
