Elizabeth Wuthrich Winward, 24 September 1904

CLIFTON – Elizabeth Wuthrich Winward, 91, died September 12, 1996 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston. She was born September 24, 1904 in Bern, Switzerland, the daughter of Johannes and Elizabeth Badertscher Wuthrich.

She married Bertie W. Winward, Jr. on January 13, 1926 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He died December 24, 1979.

She was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and gardening. She loved her family very much.

She is survived by five sons, six daughters and their spouses, Uvonna (Lyle) Nash, Franklin, ID; Paul (Elaine) Winward, Dayton, ID; Edward (Margaret) Winward, Orem, UT; Delora (Blair) Henderson, Dayton, ID; William (Elda) Winward, Clifton, ID; Raelane (Paul) Sears, Wendell, ID; Alma (Bonnie) Winward, Ogden, UT; Brent (Diane) Winward, Malad, ID; Elaine (Willard) Gailey, Clifton, ID; Linda Winward; Anaheim, CA; and Judith (Kent) Howell, Clifton, ID.

She is also survived by 124 grandchildren; 147 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Freida Weidman, Logan, UT; and Ida Wynder, Hillspring, Alberta, Canada. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth, and 15 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held September 16, 1996 in the Clifton LDS First Ward Chapel with Bishop William Palmer conducting. Burial will be in the Whitney Cemetery.
