
HALLIDAY, ELIZABETH S., November 20, 1912 – July 27, 2006
NO. LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Elizabeth “Beth” S. Halliday died Thursday, July 27, 2006 in Ogden, Utah of cardiac arrest.
She was born November 20, 1923 in Ogden, a daughter of Archibald Harry and Abigail Wilson Story. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1930.
On August 23, 1934, Beth married J. Stuart “Monk” Halliday, who was a coach and school teacher in secondary education and later the principal of Malad, Idaho High School. She and her husband lived in Firth, Oakley, Twin Falls and Malad City, Idaho and North Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as a Stake drama director and also a primary teacher while in Malad, Idaho.
Beth was the director of the Malad School Lunch Program and later was employed by J.C. Penney in Las Vegas, retiring in 1978.
Surviving is her son, James “Cub” S. Halliday II, Ogden, Utah. She ws preceded in death by her husband, J. Stuart “Monk” Halliday, and two sisters, Elaine Dudman and Ramona Shaw.
Graveside services were held Monday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Lindquist’s Ogden, Utah Mortuary.
