Funeral Tuesday For Mrs. Salvesen
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Olive Bell Salvesen, 83, who died at the Oneida Hospital Friday were held October 12, 1965 at 1 p.m. at the Malad 2nd LDS Ward chapel with Bishop Max King officiating.
At the funeral home the family prayer was by Norman Salvesen.
At the chapel the prelude and postlude music was by Myra Jean John; speakers, J. Farrell Bell; Thomas W. Richards; invocation, Norman Crowther; benediction, Bishop Myron Sorensen; vocal duet, June Crowther and Norma Gleed; vocal solo, Ardis Jones; remarks, Bishop Max King; Obituary and tribute, Rosella Smith.
The concluding rites were at the Hyrum, U6tah cemetery with S. LeRoy Salvesen offering the dedicatory prayer.
Casket bearers were Delmar Nielsen, Homer Davis, S. LeRoy Salvesen, Herman Salvesen, Gordon Packard, Frank Fowler.
Benson Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
Mrs. Salvesen was born April 28, 1882 at Richmond, Utah, to Matthew F. and Elizabeth Land Bell, and married Orson G. Salvesen in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple on Oct, 25, 1899.
Survivors include Darrald Salvesen of Pocatello, a son, and a foster son, Albert Dalton of Ogden. She had five grandchildren but no brothers or sisters. Her husband died May 8, 1945.
She had lived in Malad since 1928.
